Performing The Sabrage

We recently held a press event to launch a new promotion ‘Bonham Bubbles‘ at our Edinburgh hotel The Bonham, in association with Champagne brand PIPER HEIDSIECK.

I was lucky enough to get to perform the sabrage (cutting the top of the Champagne bottle with a sword). It was actually way more fun than I expected and I managed to do it first time, which game me a little feeling of triumph!

Bonham Bubbles (£50 per person) is available Wednesday to Sunday at The Bonham. You can enjoy either afternoon tea or a 3 course lunch plus unlimited Champagne for the duration of your meal. For our press launch we chose to have lunch – and what a delicious lunch it was!
