I was recently invited to the White Stuff shop on George Street, Edinburgh for a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ bloggers event.
I was super excited when I got the invite as its one of my favourite shops ever. I love the style of their clothes, casual but classy and well made. Everything about their branding excites me (yes I know but I am a marketer), its cool, quirky and creative with explosions of patterns and colours.
The shop itself is full of innovation with their unique displays, fab dressing rooms (inspired by The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe), free sweets for customers (and dog treats for our K9 pals, who are more than welcome), sofas for folk with weary feet and some days even free coffee if you need a break from all that retail therapy.
When we arrived I was impressed with all the treats laid out for us at the tea party. They really captured the essence of the Mad Hatters theme. I had to restrain myself (well, slightly) as I do need to get into my party clothes over the next few weeks but I did devour a few sandwiches and treats.
Wandering around the shop I saw so many things I could add to my Christmas wish list. There are too many to mention them all but in particular I love their Fairisle Booties – perfect for the weather we are having at the moment.
If you are looking for stocking fillers there is an abundance of great gifts including pretty knickers, toesties and candles.
Also at the event were JustBe Botanicals. A range of natural, well being products which are handmade in Scotland. In particular we sampled their herbal tea and aromatherapy chocolate. I never thought of adding tea to my prosecco before but I was pleasantly surprised. A little dash of their Hibiscus Flowers, Rose Petals and Jasmine herbal tea in your bubbles is an absolute delight.
I have never heard of aromatherapy chocolate before but it was delicious. They come in 6 different flavours but the milk chocolate with invigorating geranium topped with coconut sugar and infused with cardamom was my favourite.
As if we weren’t spoilt enough we also got a goody bag to take home with a lovely scarf, book, lip balm and other goodies in it.
So, the weather can get as wild as it wants now as I am looking forward to snuggling up on my sofa and enjoying a good read of ‘Funny Girl’ by Nick Hornby. Oh, as long as its sunny again by the weekend – I promised the White Stuff girls I would pop in with my black lab Molly to say hello and maybe buy a dress I had my eye on! 🙂
